Sumeet Aggarwal was a Governing Council Member of the Healthcare Federation of India (NATHEALTH) and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation. He had held leadership roles with Fortis Healthcare in India and Singapore, the World Economic Forum, Deloitte, and Monitor Group in the U.S. He served as Managing Director of Midmark India and was recognised among the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business by the Asian American Business Development Centre.
India’s healthcare system responded effectively with swift lockdowns, expanded testing labs (1 to 70+), and scaled-up PPE manufacturing.
Aarogya Setu and digital tools enabled efficient contact tracing and behavioural change through celebrity-backed awareness campaigns.
Rapid mobilisation of medical equipment, workforce, and public compliance under pandemic constraints.
The pandemic underscored the urgency to strengthen both emergency response and routine healthcare systems.
